Message From the High Commissioner, H.E. Cenio Lewis  - Covid-19

Dear Nationals of St Vincent and the Grenadines

In the light of the ongoing effects of the Coronavirus it is with regret that I have to reduce the services of the Mission. I have to do so taking into consideration the advice of the UK government to the public. You can continue to contact the Mission by email and social media.

- For consular matters the email address is info@svghighcom.co.uk / the High Commission Facebook page;

- For Trade, International Affairs, International Organizations and related meetings email jinellemofa@gmail.com

Please allow me to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to heed the advice given by the government.  I do also wish to request that you contact nationals and indeed any other members of your community who may be vulnerable or in need of assistance. Even a simple phone call would be invaluable to those nationals and other persons who may be on their own.

The rising number of deaths from Covid-19 in the UK and elsewhere is clearly worrying for everyone. I hope that the virus will not cause any deaths among our nationals or indeed further deaths to anyone and that those who have been infected by the virus will quickly recover.

These are indeed difficult times producing severe challenges for everyone.  In confronting challenges I often find prayer to be comforting.

May I take this opportunity to express the deep concern of Prime Minister Gonsalves, the Deputy Prime Minister Sir Louis Straker and the entire government of St Vincent and the Grenadines with regard to the effects of the Coronavirus on nationals in the diaspora.

On behalf of the Staff of the Mission and on my own behalf, please accept my best wishes for good health to you all. Please allow me to leave you with a simple thought, namely, ‘Who we really are is determined by what we do to help others in need’.  A simple phone call can make a difference, so if it is possible and where necessary please make that call.

We will keep you updated.

Thank You

Cenio Lewis

High Commissioner.
